About us
The School That Grows With Every Student
Since 1989, St. Philomena's English School & P.U. College has served the families of Vidyaranyapura. The institution follows the CISCE curriculum from Montessori through Class 12, and has built its reputation on structured teaching, clear standards of conduct, and close attention to each student. Today, some of the parents enrolling their children were themselves educated here.

Our story
Serving Vidyaranyapura since 1989
Thirty-Seven Years, Three Chapters
Chapter 1: The Beginning (1989). A small school with a clear idea. Children learn best where discipline and warmth live in the same room.
Chapter 2: The Growing Years. Classes grew, the campus grew, and a PU college joined the school so students could stay with teachers who already knew them.
Chapter 3: Today. A Montessori-to-Class 12 campus, affiliated to CISCE, where Yoga, skating, Taekwondo and calligraphy sit beside the core subjects, and where school transport runs on GPS and the campus is watched by CCTV.

Some Parents Here Once Wore Our Uniform
Every year, a few parents come to enrol their child and stop at the same corridor, the same staircase, the same corner of the playground. They recognise it, because they sat here once.
That moment says more about a school than any brochure can. Families come back because they remember how it felt, and they want their own children to feel it too.
Were you a student here? We'd love to hear from you.

Where We're Headed
Our Vision
A school that grows minds and character together, so every student leaves with confidence, self-respect, and the wisdom to use both well.
Our Mission
To help every child do their best work, make sound choices, and step into the future ready. We pursue this through a well-rounded education that reaches from the classroom to the sports field.
Marks matter. So does manners.
From the Principal's Desk
One Desk. Two Letters.
A few honest words for the people who matter most here.

Dear Parents,
You are handing us something precious, and I never forget that. Every morning, I remind our teachers of one simple thing: behind each roll number is a child somebody loves deeply.
So we keep our promises small and real. We will know your child. We will tell you the truth about how they are doing, the good and the difficult. And we will treat every worry you bring us as worth our time.
Come and talk to me anytime. My door is usually open, and the kettle is usually on.
Dear Students,
Here is a secret: nobody at this school expects you to be perfect. We expect you to try.
Try the debate, the stage, the sports field, the tough chapter and the new friendship. Ask questions, even the odd ones. Make mistakes, learn from them and come back stronger. Your marks matter, but the person you are becoming matters more.
I'm cheering for you, on results day and on ordinary Tuesdays.
